Our client is a developer operating in the minerals extraction market. Due to the rapid growth in their sector they are looking to develop their own in-house planning team and require an experienced environmental planner to oversee the department's development.
The ideal candidate will be an RTPI chartered planner from the private or public sector. Experience in the minerals and waste sector would be ideal as well as an understanding of the Development Consent Order process (DCO).
*Prepare planning applications, including planning and environmental statements.
*The co-ordination of EIA's
*Undertake research and analysis.
*Liaise and cultivate good relationships with stakeholders.
*Write complex reports, interpreting data and making clear and relevant recommendations.
*Ensure compliance with planning regulations.
*Take responsibility for projects from start through to completion
Capabilities and Qualifications
*MRTPI, equivalent qualification
*Detailed knowledge of the British Town Planning system
*Experience of co-ordinating EIA's
*Good experience in managing projects
*Detail conscious, accurate.
*Thrives under pressure, can work to tight deadlines.
*Strives to deliver an exceptional level of service to clients at all times.
*Excellent written and communication skills.
*Presentable, and with good presentation skills.
