An opportunity for a senior/principal ecologist at a leading consultancy who are renowned for the high quality of their work and can provide the successful candidate a fantastic foundation to a successful career.
The role will provide the chance to be involved in some of the most challenging and cutting edge projects across the built and environmental sectors including Hinkley Point C, the A303 Stonehenge tunnel and framework that include the HCA and National Grid.
The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years post graduate experience where they have managed a range of ecological and protected species surveys. In return you can expect to receive excellent reward package, flexible benefits and market leading salary.
Capabilities and Qualifications:
*Extensive technical experience in a range of ecological and protected species surveys.
*Bachelor Degree in Ecology or related subject. Master's Degree or PhD would be advantageous.
*Full membership of CIEEM. Chartered Status preferable.
*Typically over five years' professional ecology experience in a consultancy environment.
*Management of individuals, teams and projects and proven success of working in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
*Experience in liaising with and managing clients and developing business.
*Demonstrable skills in ecological impact assessment (EcIA), mitigation, and enhancement, and strategic-level planning, including Habitats Regulations Assessments (HRA).
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
*The ability to work collaboratively will be essential.
*Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and to work on multiple projects.
*Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office range of software and tablet technology.
*Full driving licence.
