Capabilities and Qualifications:
The successful applicant will be involved in the following
*Support delivery of Hydrology and drainage work within the business
*Look to eventually take on overall responsibility for the delivery of hydrology services within the firm
*Integrate hydrology services with other areas, including geo-environmental engineering, land quality and water resources.
*Support on surface water proposals
*Provide guidance on the UK regulatory framework underpinning flood risk assessments and sustainable drainage systems.
*Review reports including Environmental Statements and EIA surface water chapters.
*Provide support in developing my client's sustainable drainage services.
*Support BD to expand my clients service offering to new clients
The ideal candidate will have the following:
*BSc or MSc in relevant water management discipline
*Preferably 5 - 10 years' experience
*Preparation of Proposals and Tender documents.
*Willing to supervise, training and development of other team members.
*Hydraulic modelling capabilities for flood risk and water resource assessment with knowledge of industry software packages (Tuflow/ISIS; HEC-RAS, Micro Drainage).
*Excellent client management skills and experience;
*Excellent report writing and communication skills;
*Motivated to win new business for the company;
*Experience with major infrastructure projects will be a bonus.
*Contribute to research and innovation projects including the development and implementation of new services.
*Delivery of high quality, pragmatic, advice and solutions to environmental problems.
*Support and contribute to commercial development plans.
About the role
The role will suit someone eager to further develop their career toward management and directorship
You will be a key member within my client's business. You will work within a multidisciplinary team of specialists to provide services for the private and public sectors as well as regulatory agencies. Your main responsibility will be to support the development and growth of the surface water management capabilities, particularly in relation to flood risk assessment and SUDS. This will include supporting staff mentorship/motivation; management and development of both existing and new clients.
