An opportunity for a Principal Environmental Planner with experience in Major Infrastructure Development and DCO.
JSM are very excited to be working with one of the World's leading Multi-Disciplinary consultancies they look to fill a pivotal role in their busy central London office. Due to a period of significant growth an opportunity has arisen for an experienced Environmental Planner to join their successful team. The role will be focused on major infrastructure projects as well as various energy, residential and commercial applications across the region.
The successful applicant will be need to have at least 7 years' experience working in either a consultancy or a local authority. They will be required to have a good knowledge of the planning and environmental system and the ability to manage a varied workload of projects including planning applications appeals, and direct liaison with clients.
Capabilities and Qualifications:
Candidate must be:
*Educated to degree level, with relevant professional qualifications and Membership of the RTPI.
*A good understanding of the EIA process
*Able to demonstrate a high level of planning knowledge and the ability to undertake a variety of casework;
Candidate must have:
*Considerable proven experience in a similar role
*Excellent problem solving, communication, negotiation and writing skills;
The following attributes would be desirable.
*Detailed knowledge of management tools and techniques
*Detailed knowledge of relevant legislation and its application
*Effective operation and development of management systems for quality, financial and project controls
