About The Role
The role of Head of Membership – Recruitment & Retention will have end-to-end responsibility for delivering a range of campaign-driven marketing activities. The campaigns will promote IEMA membership – and all that means - in new and existing markets to support their ambitious growth plans.
You will be responsible for planning, implementing and measuring a range of campaigns throughout the year, which deliver against membership recruitment, membership upgrade targets and retention budgets. You will also lead on developing a focused membership acquisition marketing strategy, which turns research and analysis into results.
This is a new and dynamic role filled with exciting challenges, which presents an opportunity for you to make a tangible difference on a rapidly developing and critically important profession.
You will come armed with excellent knowledge and proven experience of devising and executing marketing campaigns, especially through digital channels. Strong written communication skills are crucial, as you will be responsible for writing all campaign collateral in line with their distinctive house style. You will also need deep-level knowledge of using CRM systems and HTML e-mail tools to identify and reach potential and existing members. Strong commercial awareness is crucial as each campaign needs to deliver against ambitious financial targets. Finally, you’ll need to be highly organised with strong interpersonal skills, as you’ll work with skilled and passionate professionals across the business to achieve organisational objectives.
