A successful environmental consultancy is looking to recruit a head of hydrology to lead their team the South West. The ideal candidate would be an experienced Hydrogeologist with 7 years+ working in the industry. The business already has a significant pipeline of projects in the sector and intend to extensively grow their team in line with high demand for their expertise in this market.
This is a significant opportunity for my client and forms a significant part of their ambitious business plan. This role offers the successful candidate a fantastic opportunity to grow and develop a significant team within the firm going forward. The role will include leadership and mentoring of a small but growing team, as well as providing additional expertise and resources to the rest of business.

Bristol, South Gloucestershire
*Actively support commercial development plans by developing the client base in the South of England and Wales.
*Project manage and technically lead hydrology and drainage projects that deliver high quality, pragmatic advice and solutions.
*Support their busy Northern office in delivering on existing pipeline of business.
*Use existing and new industry contacts to develop leads and opportunities.
*Successfully translate opportunities into projects through effective client management and proposal writing.
*Lead the growth of the South West office in conjunction with other directors.
*Support the directors in the mentoring and development of junior staff.
Capabilities and Qualifications:
*A postgraduate qualification in Hydrogeology or a related discipline
*Extensive experience in Drainage, SUDS, and an understanding of microdrainage and 3D modelling software.
*7+ years' experience of working in the water industry, either as a consultant or directly for a water company
*Be chartered or close to achieving chartereship
*A strong track record of developing opportunities, winning work within the water industry and managing client relationships across the South of England and Wales.
*Proven project management skills
*Excellent people management skills
*Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
About the role:
As a key member within my client's business and their Reading office. You will work closely with the senior management team and play a key role in their focus of growing this young office
Your principle responsibility will be to develop and grow water hydrogeology capability with a focus on the South East.
You will be working closely with the current team undertaking; staff mentoring; management and development of both existing and new clients;
The role offers significant scope for significant progression to a more senior position within the business
