An exciting opportunity for an Environmental Permitting specialist to join a leading national environmental consultancy in Bristol.
This is a great opportunity to build a specialist consultancy team at a firm who are entering an exciting period of growth. The ideal candidate will be environmental permitting specialist from either a regulatory or consultancy background who is motivated by the prospect of leading a team and developing business. Although there will be expectations to develop new clients, initially a significant amount of work will be fed to you from other disciplines allowing you the time to settle in to the role.
*Advising and supporting clients looking to achieve and maintain regulatory compliance
*Prepare and review Environmental Management System Policies and Procedures
*Undertaking site walkovers and internal compliance audits
*Support clients with their Carbon Reduction Commitment (CRC) requirements
*Support clients with their regulatory reporting;
*Providing policy and regulation guidance to clients such as the Environment Agency and WRAP to support ongoing framework contracts and a wide range of projects;
*Undertaking literature and web-based research on technical issues
*Undertake data collection and processing including modelling
*Undertake waste compositional analyses
*Undertake and support site environmental sampling and monitoring programmes
*Build and maintain client relationships
Capabilities and Qualifications:
Candidate must have:
*A degree in an environmental related subject
*Experience of growing and leading a team
*Confident in presenting to stakeholders
*Experience in the preparation of environmental permit applications, surrenders and transfers
*The ability to cross sell environmental services
