  • Manage and facilitate the permitting process for industrial facilities, ensuring adherence to environmental standards and guidelines.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest EPR requirements and guide clients in navigating these regulations for their projects.
  • Lead or contribute to EIAs, evaluating the potential environmental impacts of power projects and proposing mitigation measures.
  • Conduct detailed assessments of carbon footprints associated with power systems and recommend strategies for emissions reduction.
  • Identify and address environmental constraints that may impact power system projects, such as protected habitats or heritage sites.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, understanding their unique needs and providing tailored environmental solutions.
  • Ensure that clients remain compliant with all environmental regulations and reporting requirements throughout project lifecycles.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of engineers, scientists, and planners to deliver integrated solutions that balance environmental and operational goals.
  • Stay informed about emerging trends and best practices in the power systems and environmental consulting fields, and share insights within the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in environmental consulting with a focus on power systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of UK environmental regulations, permitting processes, and relevant legislation.
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex environmental concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Professional memberships and certifications relevant to environmental consulting (e.g., CEnv, IEMA) are desirable.
  • A commitment to sustainability and a passion for finding innovative solutions to environmental challenges.

Benefits:

  • Competitive salary and performance-based bonuses.
  • Comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, flexible working and more.
  • Opportunities for professional development and continuous learning.
  • A dynamic and inclusive work environment that promotes innovation and teamwork.
  • Contribution to meaningful, sustainable energy projects that have a positive impact on the environment and society.
