Safety and Sustainability Manager

Salary: £45,000 to £50,000 plus bonus

Location: London Support Centre Based (Hybrid Working)

We have an exciting opportunity for a Safety and Sustainability Manager to join The Big Table group, one of the leading independent restaurant companies in the UK. The Big Table operate some of the most recognisable and loved restaurant brands to be found anywhere in the eating-out market, such as Bella Italia, Café Rouge, Las Iguanas and Banana Tree.

This role provides accurate, clear, and relevant expert advice and support to ensure that The Big Table conducts its operations in a safe & effective manner, within the framework of company policies, legislative requirements, and industry best practice.

Actively promoting a positive approach to energy management and sustainability within The Big Table Group. Driving action within the group on it's journey to achieving it's sustainability goals

Responsibilities:

• Deliver operational safety support to Operations Manager and General Manager.

• 3rd Party Audit function management. Being the point of contact for day-to-day management of Health and Food Safety audit function and performance.

• Accident and Incident Management

• Energy Management

• Statutory compliance reporting and technologies.

• Delivery of Net Zero Target

• ESG Delivery

Qualifications/Experience:

• Full, UK Driving Licence &flexibility to travel

• Previous experience in an Health, Safety and Environment/Sustainability role is required.

• Sustainability related degree is essential.

• NEBOSH National General Certificate or equivalent, preferred.

• Membership of recognised professional body (with evidence of meeting CPD requirements) preferred.

• Previous experience in multi-site catering / retail would be a distinct advantage.

• Eager to undertake personal development.

• Commercial in outlook and understanding the current business challenges in the industry.
