Here at Fresenius Medical Care, we are looking for an EHS & Environmental Sustainability Lead with drive, energy, enthusiasm but most of all passion for Sustainability to deliver Fresenius Medical Cares sustainability ambitions.
In this newly created unique role you will report into the Senior Manager for Quality Assurance & IMS, where you will balance your typical day between EHS and Sustainability. In this exciting new role, you will be responsible for building strong relationships with our internal and external stakeholders, to ensure that our environmental ambitions and strategy of the business are clearly communicated and delivered. As someone with genuine passion for the subject and excellent communication skills you will naturally inspire people to achieve our environmental objectives. As we begin achieving our objectives your natural appetite for success will mean you want to share this news with all stakeholders, and you’ll find creative ways of doing so.
You will have a NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent and hold a recognised Environmental Management qualification, ideally you will have working knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
This is a hybrid, full-time role of 37.5 hours, Monday to Friday. This role requires regular travel across the UK and therefore a full UK driving licence is essential.
What does the role involve?
You will:
- Support the implementation of the company’s Environmental Sustainability Policy at local level, along with supporting the achievement of all objectives, targets and delivering on our Carbon Reduction Plan.
- Ensure that the Fresenius Medical Care Sustainability Policy is promoted and communicated with all stakeholders
- Support and promote the company’s H&S System.
- Complete or provide support with writing task specific risk assessments.
- Monitor the external environmental requirements within England & Ireland
- Chair the Environmental Committee meetings
