Sustainability Consultant

We have an opportunity for a Sustainability Consultant to lead the Environment and Sustainability team(s) based in the Saltaire office, providing the day-to-day staff management and leadership, support, and guidance of staff members and to ensure development of the team aligns with JBA’s Environment Services Plan.

Key tasks of this role include:

• Maintain an overview of project staff resourcing requirements within the Environment and Sustainability Team(s). Provide pastoral support to the Team(s). Tender support and management. Provide leadership with a strong interest in environment and sustainability work, particularly in Net Zero carbon work. Maintaining a strong and robust communications between staff within the team and across the Environment disciplines in JBA. Provide technical support and advice across environment and sustainability projects where relevant to the candidates own skills. Assist with recruitment and selection. Welcome new staff to JBA by carrying out induction training, arranging attendance at a JBA Welcome Workshop and introducing new members to company systems.

This role is based in our office in Saltaire, West Yorkshire.

Who we are looking for:

Candidates will be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills and experience of providing pastoral support to colleagues and team members.  Experience of resource planning and managing staff performance and profitability would be desirable

The right candidate will have:

• Environment related qualifications, degree(s) or equivalent. Experience in Project Management. Experience in any of the following or similar: Natural capital assessments Environmental Impact Assessments Strategic Environmental Assessments Carbon assessments Sustainability Appraisals Environmental Modelling Climate Change Risk Assessment. Understanding of environmental legislation and regulations.
