Your role with us

Working at the heart of our National Environmental Assessment and Sustainability (NEAS) team, you’ll take charge of the environmental aspects of some very large Flood Risk Management projects.

It is no small task. Between 2021 and 2027, the UK government will invest £5.2 billion in reducing the risks of flooding and coastal erosion. You’ll identify and manage complex environmental risks whilst looking to deliver exciting environmental enhancements within the programme. You’ll ensure that socio-environmental and sustainability elements are considered at every stage of appraisal, business case and delivery.

Throughout, there’ll also be a focus on Natural Flood Management, Carbon Reduction, and creating new wildlife habitats that can sequester Carbon. It is ultimately an opportunity to champion the environment while protecting both people and wildlife.

Who we’re looking for

Ideally professionally qualified with a relevant degree, you’ll bring an impressive background of managing environmental risk on large-scale infrastructure projects and have a comprehensive understanding of the legislation that surrounds them.

An excellent communicator and influencer, your experience as an environmental adviser within multi-disciplinary teams will also be vital in upskilling both colleagues and partners and ensuring your projects are delivered smoothly and to budget.
