Marketing Assistant – 6 month placement

£20k per annum (pro-rated for 6 months) plus benefits package

IEMA (The Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment) is the largest professional body for everybody working in the environment and sustainability, with more than 17,000 members. We have an exciting opportunity for a 6 month contract supporting our marketing team which would be an ideal for someone who has an interest in environment and sustainability issues and an aspiration towards a career in marketing.
Typical duties will include admin support, scheduling meetings, being a point of contact for email enquiries regarding our events and webinars, developing relationships, communicating information, providing support for digital meetings and events, updating our event portal and website and undertaking research.
You will have probably just completed further education in either a BTEC or degree preferably in a Business, Marketing or Environmental Sciences. You will be IT literate, a capable and confident communicator (both written and verbal) and be able to work as part of a team. You must have a demonstrable interest in Marketing and an understanding and passion for the environment and sustainability. Some office admin experience is preferred.
You will be professional, highly disciplined, reliable, organised, keen to learn and able to follow instructions. Candidates should be able to demonstrate evidence of where these skills have been gained in their application letter.
All equipment and training will be provided. You will receive on the job coaching and gain skills and knowledge on different areas of marketing through working alongside an experienced marketing team.
As the role is home based it will be essential that you have the ability and motivation to work from home with reduced supervision.
Job Placement location: This role is home based, with the occasional requirement to attend meetings at a UK location. Candidates must therefore be based in the UK and have a reliable broadband speed to be able to work from home.
