The role

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to help the award-winning sustainability team deliver its energy efficiency and sustainability investment program.

What will you be doing?

You will be primarily implementing a range of mechanical and electrical energy efficiency projects, such as ventilation, heating and lighting. You will deliver technical energy engineering projects, identifying both innovative and proven technologies to deliver net zero carbon on campus. You will also manage wider sustainability projects such as fabric improvement (Insulation), space utilisation and bike shelter facilities.

Much of the energy efficiency work will be within our STEM (Science Technology Engineering and Maths) buildings, so a knowledge of laboratory-based projects will be an advantage.

You will be able to help the sustainability team specify, procure, plan and manage installation and completion, ensuring legal compliance, quality and assurance at each stage of the process.

The aim of these projects is to help deliver the University’s sustainability targets, particularly our net zero carbon target.

You should apply if

You have experience in delivering energy efficiency and/or energy management projects across a wide variety of buildings and processes. This is an opportunity to work with a wide variety of staff and students on projects that will deliver real sustainable change. It is desired that the appointee also demonstrates a keen interest in energy and sustainability issues.
