An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Environmental Planner / EIA Consultant to join our Environment team based in either Birmingham or Cirencester. We have the flexibility to consider candidates at entry level through to Senior as we seek an enthusiastic professional with a passion for EIA and sustainable development.
You will support and take a lead on EIA project management and co-ordination in relation to large residential/mixed use developments along with delivering environmental statements and appraisals to programme and budget. Other planning duties to assist the delivery of wide-ranging planning consultancy services on nominated projects include public consultation, the preparation, submission and monitoring of planning applications and collation of evidence for appeals.
We are seeking an Environment Planner with demonstrable experience in EIA project management and co-ordination, ideally in relation to large scale residential led development projects, and a thorough knowledge of planning processes, UK EIA legislation and best practice guidelines. The ideal candidate will hold a relevant degree preferably in environmental impact assessment or a related subject and membership of a relevant professional institution or working towards.
