About the opportunity:
Due to continued company growth and a healthy order book, our client is recruiting for a driven Geo-Environmental Engineer / Scientist, to work in a combined remediation contracting and environmental consulting position. This role will incorporate a mix of fieldwork (70%) and office (30%) based working, based from their office in Essex
The principal responsibilities will include conducting Phase I, Phase II site investigations, factual and interpretative reporting, sampling soils and waters, maintaining materials tracking registers, supervising contractors, applying treatment technologies to soils and groundwaters (with support from Project Managers and Site Managers) and preparing remediation validation reports.
About the requirements:
In order to be considered for this opportunity, you must be degree qualified in a relevant subject and hold 2 years postgraduate experience, working as a geo-environmental engineer for a contaminated land contractor / consultancy in the UK. Furthermore, due to the fieldwork being throughout the South of England (although occasionally in the Midlands), you must hold a full UK driving license and be willing to travel and stay away from home when required (subsistence will be covered).
About the benefits and rewards:
For this permanent opportunity, we are targeting professionals looking to earn anywhere from £25,000 to £30,000 per annum, however specific salary will depend on experience and suitability. Furthermore, there will be a generous package on offer in addition to the usual benefits associated with a large successful company.
