Performance Environment and Configuration Controller
Brookwood are working on behalf of a Public Sector consultancy.
This role is 6 months + extensions. It is mainly remote; the client base is in Southend.
The day rate is £435.51 per day currently Outside IR35, then Inside IR35 from April.
Requirements:
This role is required so that the programme can have strong control over the status of the components and the system when they are being performance tested in SCPT and SIPT.
The postholder is expected to:
- Use Confluence/JIRA to track the configuration of each component in SCPT and SIPT. The configuration will include the code set, the platform configuration settings and any other key attributes that may influence the Performance
- Run governance and control sessions to make sure deployments into SCPT and SIPT are done in a controlled and documented fashion
- Work with Performance & Analytics Testing & Proving Lead and Test & Release to make sure they are clear on the configuration in SCPT and SIPT when tests are being conducted
- Manage the timetabling of tests in CIPT taking into account potentially competing requirements for Test Conditions such as Emulator settings.
- Participate in Performance Root-cause Analysis sessions so that all analysis is conducted on the basis of accurate statements of state
- Capture and implement lessons learnt
- Mature the processes and controls to a CICD approach so that the role becomes redundant over time
The successful candidate will:
- Have experience of running multi-component configuration control in a large enterprise environment
- Have meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping
- Be organised and assertive to define and run governance and control sessions
- Have sufficient technical understanding to recognise changes to configurations to ensure they are tracked
- Demonstrate strong communication skills including verbal, written and presentations
- Self-reliant, hard-working, pro-active and motivate
