The purpose of this role is to develop implement and monitor Colt’s environmental sustainability strategy. You will be responsible for communicating these plans and strategies to our customers, external stakeholders and colleagues.

 

You will ensure compliance with the relevant country legislative and environmental responsibilities as well as develop and lead environmental performance improvement projects to establish a sound foundation and framework for the delivery of Colt’s strategic objectives

 

Key accountabilities

·        Oversee the growth and development of Colt’s sustainability and environment obligations and commitment

·        You will be responsible for ensuring that our sustainability activities meet and exceed existing Country compliance measures

·        Deliver industry leading sustainability & environmental programme

·        Create and deliver a sustainability & environmental strategy and vision and raise awareness of the Company-wide programme

 

Key skills & Experience 

·        Proven track record in Sustainability Development with the ability and maturity of thought to work collaboratively across Colt’s business, is essential

·        Previous experience in a complex and geographically dispersed telecommunications businesses would be advantageous but is not essential

·        Previous experience driving sustainable waste practices or driving a migration from normalised fleet to an EV fleet would be advantageous

·        Demonstrable experience in building networks to ensure high quality data reporting and to identify and share best practice

·        Previous experience in an environmental science or sustainability discipline

·        Experience and a deep knowledge and passion for promoting sustainability in its broadest sense, environmental initiatives and carbon reductions

·        Knowledge of the regulatory/statutory requirements and the best practice in environmental change

·        You will be commercial astute with a broad business understanding, and the gravitas and presence to engage effectively across senior management teams to support widespread change

·        You will understand which KPIs to introduce to the business, and how to monitor and measure its performance against these targets

·        You should possess a good balance between strategic and operational focus, able to create the vision, translate this into operational implementation and deliver it through hands-on management, inviting constructive challenge and working closely with management teams across the business

 

What will you be doing? 

·        Developing Colt’s global sustainability & environmental strategy

·        Raise awareness of strategy and work closely with Leadership teams to drive the vision

·        Work closely with internal and external clients on our vision for sustainability & environmental matters
